Toni Leo, Ph.D. completed American Psychological Association (APA)accredited programs at the doctoral, internship and post-doctoral residency levels. She completed ten years of graduate study and training in clinical psychology and the specialty area of health/medical psychology. She has trained and worked in inpatient medical hospitals, consultation-liaison services, rehabilitation settings, outpatient medical clinics and private practice. She established a successful private practice in Arizona prior to relocating to Northern Virginia in 2002. Dr. Leo returned to Southern Arizona in the summer of 2005 and is re-establishing her practice in clinical and health psychology.
Dr. Leo is trained in both the general practice of clinical psychology and the specialty field of health and medical psychology. She received training in the specialty techniques of Hypnosis, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mind-Body Stress Reduction/Mindfulness with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn. She has experience working in Medical Education with medical students and residents. She also has training in professional mediation techniques, and worked as a mediator while serving as the Director of the Family Conciliation Court program of the Superior Court of Cochise County, Arizona.
